OUR FACILITIES
Sparrow Healthcare Education, LLC features an up-to-date facility with a reception area and three classrooms. The facility has large clinical lab areas in each classroom with all the needed supplies and equipment. Students will have access to a microwave, refrigerator, sink, tables, and chairs. Both male and female lavatories are available. There is free parking available in a well-lit parking lot. The facility is located on a main public transit route. This is an ADA-accessible facility with handicapped lavatories. Reasonable accommodation will be provided at the request of the student.
Classrooms are equipped with tables, chairs, AV equipment, and whiteboards.
Clinical Lab is equipped with all supplies needed to practice skills and care.
For the Nursing Assistant course, the maximum class size is 20 students with a ratio not to exceed 10:1 for clinical or lab.

Adequate English Language Proficiency
Students must have adequate English language proficiency as evidenced by: (WAC 490-105-140)
- A high school diploma from a high school where English is the primary language; or
- A high school equivalency or General Education Development (GED) certificate; or
- A passing score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language; or the International English Language Testing System or a similar proficiency exam; or
- A satisfactory evaluation of the applicant’s foreign course work that has been produced by a reputable organization specializing in such evaluation; or
- A passing score on the Ability to Benefit test (ATB) that has been published by the American College Testing Service (ACT) or reviewed and approved by the American Council on Education (ACE)
Pass Background Check
Students must pass a background check prior to the clinical experience. A criminal record does not immediately disqualify you from Nursing Assistant training but may interfere and limit the clinical placement and future job opportunities.
Negative 2-Step TB Skin Test
Students must have a negative 2-Step TB skin test within the last 24 months or provide a negative chest x-ray
Physically Perform Duties
Students must be able to physically perform the duties of a nursing assistant that include but not limited to: sitting, standing, lifting, moving, and transferring patients
